A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones" - Albert Einstein.

Eternal Mist is a game that involves real-time tactics where you will be in charge of commanding different types of squads including paladins, hunters, and mages. Each squad possesses unique skills that can be improved as you progress in the game.

Elements such as bonfires, cauldrons, and other objects on the battlefield have an impact on the abilities of your warriors. Placing your units near these objects can provide a significant tactical advantage.

The Mist is a source from which hordes of creatures emerge. These formidable beings represent a relentless force that poses a significant threat to all who cross their path. Their agility and speed allow them to swiftly traverse the terrain, making them a daunting challenge to overcome. Only a skilled commander can give confident and well-thought-out orders to inspire their soldiers and guide them towards victory.

Several generations have passed since the end of the Great War, and even deep old men cannot remember who first used forbidden spells. But once begun, there was no stopping them, and the land was swallowed by the Mist.

On the wreckage of the old world, a new world gradually emerged - divided into isolated islands and states. And only a few brave men dare to travel through the deadly expanse of mist. You are at the beginning of this journey, and where and how it will end depends only on you!

That's truly magnificent, the use of 2D sprites in this 3D level looks great! Bravo (the bounty hunters, blue suits him very well :) )

Thank you so much! Your characters are incredible and a perfect fit for our game!

Incredibly beautiful game (that runs really well! proof that you can optimize good graphics!) that, while obviously rough around the edges, is still incredibly fun and polished!

I will say though, the game does get a little unfair when introducing the Scythe-hand monsters, they simple chew through even your strongest squads.

But a flaw that's more apparent through out the entire game, is the fact that lamps are straight up either the most fortified position in the level or a useless distraction that you shouldn't bother with.
After a few levels they become just not worth it and then later(er) it becomes an active detriment; I'd recommend lowering the difficulty just a bit (the difficulty is good! I like it difficult!) and add some incentives to defending more lamps, if not items then maybe heals or buffs?
(While we're on items, the bow item doesn't work...)

Overall though: it's an incredibly fun and beautiful game, and I'm excited for more of the game!

(About the page though, I'll note a couple things: AI isn't a good look and gets a lot of people to dismiss your game.
Also, the Einstein quote is seemingly unrelated and just comes off goofy.
I'd also recommend switching up the gameplay and story, since story isn't commonly the drawing factor for games.)

Thanks! I have changed the order of the sections. And we will change the video previews a little later. We made them before we had the characters from the game drawn. 😅

Hi, thanks for the great review!

We are still working on the game and its balance. Some things will get easier, some things will get harder. Right now this is just a first look at how we see our game. We have a lot of different things in the pipeline, maybe even bringing in tower defence elements. And a lot of other things. A lot depends on the reaction of the players.

And thanks for the bug, I found it. It's fixed in the Steam store for now (it's already version 0.5.1 there). We will upload the fixed version here soon.

Chill little tactics game! The start is a bit slow and I found myself wanting to split the group to protect both lamps instead of running back and forth, but that gets better after the first three levels. Other than that, the style, simplicity and GUI is really nice. Good luck with the rest of the development!

Thank you! The first levels will contain tutorials. But it's not done yet. :)
